For a long life of the lead-acid batteries on loading and unloading are important points to consider. If the battery is not empty, the battery can make up to 500 cycles. At full discharge only 200 cycles. A discharge under 12 volts is already leading to permanent damage to the battery.On Overloading there is a risc of explosion or the escape of toxic fumes. Too high charging current also reduces the life span.
